It’s been a long time! I haven’t blogged in about 3 weeks now. I took some time off to try to regroup and refresh for the new and exciting life I am creating. July 17th was my final day at the day job I have had for the past 9 1/2 years. Needless to say, it was bittersweet! I had to take some time to process both the joy and the fear, but I am back now. Today, for the first time, it feels like things are beginning to take shape. My schedule is starting to come together, and I feel like I am beginning to find my rhythm between farming, herbalism, markets, and taking time to nurture myself (the last one still needs lots of work).
Here is a little bit of what I have been up to the past 3 weeks.
My best gals threw me a little party my last day of work to celebrate my new journey. They are the best!
The very next day we had our first farmer’s market. We are attending the West End Farmer’s Market every Saturday 9-12:30 and we absolutely love it! Come see us sometime if you can!
This bouquet we did for a friend of ours to give to her sister on her birthday!
We have also launched our skin care line. You can find it in our Etsy store. It has been great to cleanse and nourish my dirty farming skin!
We have been preserving tons of food and eating lots of garlic!
We are still harvesting quite a bit and are keeping up with our CSA and market stand at Porter Road Butcher. You can find us there the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 4-7!
So far, so good. I am loving my new adventure and looking forward to sharing all the new ups and downs with you all! Thank you for all the continued love and support and for help making our dreams possible!
