I’ve been so busy I haven’t had time to write, so here are a few bits and pieces from my last week or so!
Zinnias have been filling every room of our home lately.
Too much basil is never a problem! We put up lots of pesto last night!
The squash is coming on strong, but every day is a squash bug battle! Any home remedies you’d like to share?
We picked our first round of beans yesterday! I can’t wait to make some dilly beans with them!
Our plants are FULL of peppers! Most of the plants are doing amazing, but we are suffering from blossom end rot on a few.
A weedy view of the side of the garden.
I love okra and can’t wait for these to be full!
Okra blossoms are one of my favorites!
Zinnias for days.
This sweet little fella followed me around in the garden yesterday.
We have been making tons of bouquets lately.
The bees love the bee balm!
Another bouquet we made. This one was for my dad.
The echinacea is doing great!
A few little taters.
Our garlic is delicious!
We adopted a new chicken from friends who are moving away. Meet Ms. Betty!
We had a surprise party for my dad last Friday to celebrate his life! One year ago that day we almost lost him, and he is still here kicking butt today. A joyous celebration indeed!
I hope your gardens are bountiful!
