The Liebster Award

Awards are so fun! Thank you to Home in the Gold Hills for nominating me for the fun Liebster award!

The Liebster Award is for blogs with less than 500 followers and is to be passed on after answering a few questions. This is such a fun way to discover new blogs.

I started blogging as a way to track our homesteading journey.

2.)What is your favorite memory?

3.) Who inspires you?
My dad. He inspires me to get up every morning, put on my big girl britches, and seize the day.

4.) What is your current goal in life?
My current goal is to complete herbalism school, farm full-time, and run my apothecary.

5.) How would you describe yourself?
Passionate to a fault.

6.)How much wood could a Woodchuck chuck if a Woodchuck could chuck wood?
Hmmm… let me think on this one.

7.) What do you do for Fun?
Gardening, herbal medicine making, long walks with my hubby, snuggling with my pups.

8.) What is your dream vacation?
A tiny cabin tucked in the forest with my husband, dogs, and lots of tea.

9.) What is your favorite Quote?
“What could be more superstitious than the idea that money brings forth food?” -Wendell Berry

10.) Do you enjoy running a blog?
Of course! I love it, but it certainly something I need to get better at and dedicate more time to.

11.) What do you plan to do now?
Today, I will go to my day job, go to acupuncture this afternoon, then go home and make soup with all my leftover turkey!

Now it’s my turn to nominate blogs that I think you should check out, but they must have less than 500 followers. I hope you will check them out and have fun answering the questions.

  1. I would love to go to learn to be a herbalist, do you do online courses? Here in Oregon there are several schools, but they are too far for me to drive to.

      • There are several in Portland and Eugene, I’ve only half heartedly looked into them years ago. Once we are moved into our home I think I will look into it. I just love apothecary concoctions, and admire those who know how to make healing antidotes.
